Ignorance

It only bothers you when you think about it.

  1. Hm...that seems to be a contradiction! To be ignorant means that you are not aware of it. Yet when you think about something, you are aware of it, right?
Is that what you are getting at?

  2. Basically. I just realized the other day how much people's ignorance bothers me especially in cases like the Romanian orphanages where children aren't getting the love and care they need. Then they grow up with crippling disabilities both physically and emotionally. And I came to the conclusion that the only way something like that wouldn't bother me was if I never thought about it. However, by not thinking about it, I myself am ignorant of the situation. And that is something I am definitely not o.k. with.

  3. That is very sad :( And I agree, the only way it would not bother someone is if they do not think about it. And what are you going to do about it now? (I haven't read your most recent post, maybe you address that there)
